Our aim is that you, as from the first day of lessons on,
learn to face daily situations using Spanish without any hesitation.
The lessons therefore are given in Spanish by native speakers.
To gain more confidence and to immerse you into the language and culture you can stay with a local family, do voluntary work and a language exchange with local university students.
You’ll receive Spanish lessons according to your level.
By giving you an assessment examination, both oral and written, we test
your current level. At the end of every week onwards examinations are offered to measure your progress.
We want to fit your individual
learning needs by using different teaching methods. The objective is not
only that you have a good understanding of grammar, but also that you
know how to use it while writing speaking and reading.
Speaking: A very important objective of the lessons is that you use the
grammar learned to have conversations in the streets. Teachers will use
materials, roll plays and activities to make you talk about different
subjects, using all the grammar you've had before.
Reading: You get to read articles, literature, fairy tales, and more...
out loud. This will improve your pronunciation and you will learn new
vocabulary. These reading texts are also used to open up discussions, opportunities to talk.
Listening: To improve your listening skills, you get to listen to songs
filling in the missing words, recorded fairy tales or DVD's. All these
materials are used to practice different grammar subjects. Like reading
texts, you learn new vocabulary and discuss the recordings later.
Writing: Your writing skills are tested while making exercises in class,
writing short stories or making homework.
Grammar: Grammar is taught in an interactive way. The teachers will test
your understanding constantly by asking examples to you. Sometimes teachers
make you discover the grammar rules by yourself using short stories or
video.
Testing: Teachers will test your speaking, reading, listening and writing
level constantly in class by practicing it with you. You can also ask
for a test after a period of time to measure your progress.
Basically you can enroll in group, individual or semi-individual lessons. According to your level, time you would like to study, flexibility, items you want to go over and personal preferences, 1 of these types of lessons will suit you best.
Group classesare given to
a maximum of 4 persons, to ensure individual attention as well
as the positive aspects of group interaction. The persons in the group
must have the same Spanish proficiency.
Group classes start on Mondays until Friday and are 4 hours* a day, so 20 hours per week.
They mainly take place in the morning from 8:30 to 12:50, with a break from 10:30 to 12:50,
sometimes In the afternoon from 14:00 to 18:20, with a break from 16:00 to 16:20.
Normally the first hour of lessons is used to go over the items learned the day before and to check your homework.
The second hour of class a new grammar item is introduced.
After the break,
the folowing two hours consists of practice, to used the new grammar in conversation,
listening, reading and writing. The teachers use different teaching methods
such as audio – visual materials, games, etc.
Group lessons have a fixed structure, with every day a new grammar item. Every week we offer different groups at different levels.
Individual
classes are more flexible, you can take 2 hours
a day or more (blocks of 2 hours). Some or all days of the week. The classes will be tailor-made according
to your wishes. Individual lessons are a good option;
- If you only have 1 week of time and your a beginner. Then you can best
take individual lessons and focus on usefull conversation skills.
- If you want to review different specific grammar items
- If there is a big difference between your oral and your written level
- If you are a professional and you want to learn specific vocabulary
related to your occupation, such as a technician or medic.
- If you do not have time to study from monday until Friday.
We also teach Spanish to children from 9 to 15 years old in a special
and individual way, using plays, drawings and fairy tales.
On Saturdays you can do individual lessons as well in the morning!!
Apart from individual and group lessons you can
take semi-individual lessons.
Semi-individual lessons are
possible if you are with a group of friends, often a couple (2 persons minimum), who have the same level. You then can agree on how many hours you
would like to study, which days you would like to study and on a focus, like you would during individual lessons.
These lessons are called semi-individual lessons.
A combination of group classes and individual
classes, is possible. For example;
- the first 2 weeks in a group and the second 2 weeks individual.
- or in the morning 4 hours of group lessons and in the afternoon 2 hours
of individual lessons. During these extra individual lessons the teacher can focus on vocabulary, or practicing items you already did during the group lessons.
Students can decide every week which type of
lessons fits best their needs.
Our courses are taught by teachers who speak Spanish as a native language
to assure effective and fast learning. The objective is that you speak
as much Spanish as possible. The teachers have a basic understanding of
the English language to help you get started with the basic vocabulary.
They are all university graduates with at least two years of experience
in the teaching. Here we present you the teachers we have.

The teachers are rotated every week, therefore, you have the opportunity
to experience different teaching styles and will be able to share different
subjects of conversation (vocabulary). Nevertheless you can ask for more time with the
same teacher, if you find his or her teaching style more appropriate to
your learning needs.
